Did you put your new iphone 5 on your credit card?

So that brings me to the iPhone 5 test. It’s just a set of 3 questions:
Question 1 : Did you buy the latest iPhone 5?

Question 2: If you bought the iPhone 5, how did you pay for it? With cash or with your credit card?

Question 3: If you bought the iPhone 5, and paid with your credit card, do you carry a balance on your credit card?

If your answer is YES to Question 3, then my question to you is:

Why did you buy the iPhone 5 if you can’t afford it?

Is this the American Dream? To consume what you can’t afford? Because buying on credit, unless you pay off your card balance every month, is exactly that, living beyond your means.

Brilliant article, read it here....

'that individuals need to re-consider their standard of living? The last I heard, you spent what you could afford, and if you had some big project you might need to spend on like a critical operation, or the purchase of a car, house or a special vacation you saved for it, and you cut back on as much else as you could. And if the family had to do without things they desired they just did. Parents said, “no”, when I was growing up. They also said, “we don’t need this to be happy”.'
